  • Criminology Freestyle (Unreleased)

In New York City, in the summer of 1995, when Jeru the Damaja failed to show up for an interview, a young Jay-Z, along with Jaz-O, and Malachi of Group Home filled in and were interviewed instead. This was 1995 at Payday Records, at a time when every other record label had already passed on signing a then unknown Jay-Z. At the time of this interview Jay-Z had just released the single “In My Lifetime” with the B-Side “I Can’t Get With That” on Payday Records. (Courtesy of Rap Basement).

Jay-Z’s old stuff was the best, and this is the oldest it gets. This has unbelivable flow for a freestlye. He stumbles a little but who wouldn’t. Also, it came off of a radio station so it has that “In the Moment” feel. Enjoy.

Old school type of rapping from 50 Cent in his new single Outlaw. 50 Cent stated the following prior to this release when he was compared to Lady Gaga and Eminem by MTV “You can’t really compare it to any artist that would be considered a pop artist or a white artist.”

The first of 2 trailers to Kid Cudi and Cage’s upcoming short film titled Maniac. The film is being directed by Shia Lebouf and is set to release October 31st as shown in the video but, honestly, the trailers leave me with more questions than answers.

  • Mind Your Manners - Single

A new song that just came out by Chiddy Bang that is going to be in their upcoming album Breakfast. This is the song that Chiddy Bang preformed after Chiddy broke the longest freestyle record. Chiddy rapped continuously for 9 hours 18 minutes and 22 seconds. This song is a perfect example of Chiddy Bang’s talent as a duo.

Finally Famous

As most of you know, Big Sean’s album launched today, Finally Famous. I have listened to all of the songs and I am really impressed with the beats and Big Sean’s word play. I hope this album goes all the way to number one and I’m confident it will reach the top ten soon. It features many songs but some of my favorites are So Much More, Marvin and Chardonnay, What Goes Around, and Wait For Me. It also includes Big Sean and Chris Brown’s hit single My Last. If you are a avid Big Sean listener you will notice Memories, part 2 which is a continuation of one of Sean’s songs from Finally Famous Vol. 3 (MIXTAPE). If you would like to get this album I suggest getting the Deluxe Version because the bonus songs are some of the better ones. So, go download this album off iTunes and support the great Big Sean! (but if you really don’t want to buy it heres a link to the Finally Famous Deluxe Version)

A song that Kanye West decided to leave off of his previous album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. It reminds me of Kanye’s old style of rapping.
